Mention pricing in 2026 and what the Company plan really costs per year

Mention pricing for new customers is one plan, the Company plan, from $599 a month on yearly billing, which is $7,188 a year. The older Solo, Pro and Pro Plus plans were discontinued for new customers in July 2025, and Mention does not print the dollar figure on its own pricing page, so most buyers learn the number from a sales call. The plan includes 5 alerts and 50,000 mentions a month shared across them. API access and historical data are paid add-ons. Figures below come from Mention's help center and third party listings checked in October 2026.

Teams that signed up before July 2025 may still be on Solo, Pro or Pro Plus. Those plans keep running for existing customers, but a new account cannot choose them. Confirm the current quote with Mention before you buy, because the company sells through its sales team.

02What Mention costs once you add what a team needs

The headline number is $7,188, but a team rarely stops there. API access is needed to send mentions into a dashboard, a CRM or a data warehouse, and historical data matters the first time someone asks how the brand was discussed last year. Both are priced on top. A realistic budget for a team that wants both is above the base figure, and you should ask for them in writing in the first quote.

The 50,000 mention cap is shared across all five alerts. A broad alert on a common brand word can use most of the monthly volume in a few days, which leaves less for the alerts that sales or support actually act on. Exclude words and tight Boolean queries help, and they take analyst time to write and maintain.

Publish and Respond, the social publishing features, were retired on January 30, 2026 as Mention became part of Agorapulse. If your team used one tool to listen and reply, you now pay for listening here and publishing elsewhere.

03Who should pay for the Mention Company plan

Pay for it if your customers discuss you on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest, and you use most of the 50,000 mentions. At that volume $599 a month is a reasonable price per mention, and an analyst who writes long Boolean queries gets room to do it.

Look elsewhere if you track one brand, a few products and two or three competitors. That is usually 5 to 20 keywords and a few thousand mentions a month, and you are paying for volume and channels you do not use. The Mention alternative page sets the plan against MentionAlert limit by limit.

05How to lower a Mention quote or avoid it

If you stay with Mention, three things reduce the number. Ask for the contract at the lowest alert count that covers your real keywords, ask for API and history to be bundled, and compare the monthly rate with the yearly one so you know what the annual commitment saves. Renewal is the strongest moment to negotiate.

If you leave, list the alerts your team opens every week and drop the rest. Most teams find that six to twelve keywords carry the value. Route the brand and executive names to instant email, complaint phrases to a Slack channel, and competitor names to a daily digest. When alerts reach the owner of the response, an hour of delay disappears. If you also want the same alerts to reach a status channel you already watch, the setup is similar to routing uptime alerts there.
